"The Emperor"

Sitting upon his throne, the Emperor emanates the powers of focus, discernment, and the rule of law. He wields the powers of structure and stability, as evidenced by the earthen bricks that comprise his world. His solar halo denotes his mental expansiveness and sense of self, while the eagle depicts clear sight, along with the ability to rise above the details of a given situation to grant an understanding of 'the big picture'. The Aries ram at his feet draws our attention to those fiery astrological qualities, such as impulsiveness and creativity, and marking his time of the year as being that of late Spring. He rests one foot upon a black cube that —like the planet he holds in his left hand— glows green with the elemental powers of Earth. Upon his chest he is marked with a tree, indicating that his is also the nature of growth and nurturing. Again we see the presence of the Blue Rose, reminding us that the Emperor rules not just over the worlds of mundane existence, but also in the realm of spirit and mystery.
