"The Chariot"

The chariot is in constant motion, leading us onward toward victory. Wings adorn the vehicle, indicating that it has the ability to take flight, rising above adversity. The solar disc shines as a beacon of consciousness to illuminate the dark unknown ahead. A canopy of stars invokes the guiding and protecting powers of Deity. Drawn by the dual forces of opposition (here depicted by two sphinxes; one black, the other white) this card represents the necessity of decision; standing at a crossroads with the momentum of the past urging us forward. The charioteer, prepared for battle, wears an armored helmet to protect him from outside thoughts so that he may focus his energies and make decisions without distraction. Lines of motion swirl in the background, invoking the chaotic energy that is inerrant in this card.
